Highway 2 follows the 1892 Great Northern mainline, the Drury depot was just beyond the bridge.

This diversion dam on the Wenatchee River was built by the Great Northern Railway in 1909 to supply water to a powerhouse two miles downstream that generated electricity for locomotives at Stevens Pass.

Water flowed to the powerhouse through an eight foot diameter wood pipe. The pipe was above ground except for a short section through a tunnel about a mile downstream from the dam.

This trail follows the pipeline route to the powerhouse.

An iron pipe was used at the Wenatchee River crossing.

The powerhouse was here.
